Unfortunately, due to the Palace Hotel, Buxton, being unavailable for our conference this year and the lack of a suitable alternative venue, there will be no Peak District Family History Conference in 2026.

However, in it's place, we have planned a series of guest speakers. These presentations can be accessed through Zoom from the comfort of your own home..

They jointly have over three decades worth of experience in local, family and military historical research. They have extensive experience in researching the Great War and Boer War.

The Lancashire Family History & Heraldry Society provides many facilities for its members.

They have two Research Centres, one in Oswaldtwistle and one in Chorley, both equipped with a library and computers with Internet access together with helpful volunteers to assist with your research.

Car Parking

Car Parking at The Palace Hotel cannot be guaranteed nor reserved. However if you do manage to park there it is important that you enter your car's registration number into the terminal on their reception desk or you will receive a fine.

Blue Badge Holders may park or drop off at the hotel.
